Sweet Bite is a home-based bakery that has grown out of my love of baking and desire to create edible art for family and friends. While I have found a niche making special occasion cakes for various celebrations including weddings, baby showers, and birthdays; I am happy to bake pies, pastries, and any other sweet or savory treat your heart desires. I love to try new recipes and challenge myself with fun designs. While my cakes are pretty to look at, I strive to make them taste even better using quality ingredients! I want a cooking party!
Today I finished what could be my favorite birthday cake to date! Of course I love cooking and baking so I love the idea of a cooking themed birthday party. Why didn't my Mom think of that?!?! It was fun to create kitchen utensils and a couple strawberries and a tomato out of marzipan. The mushrooms and chef's hat are made out of fondant with some gum paste added to help them hold their shape. I didn't dream up the idea on my own, but I think it's super cute!
